Summary
The City of Pflugerville is in its tenth year of being designated a "Tree City USA". Part of our participation in this program is the observance of Arbor Day. Since at least 2007, the City has observed Arbor Day and conducted tree plantings to celebrate.
In 2013, the Texas A&M Forest Service moved the date of Arbor Day from the last Friday in April to the first Friday in November to better correspond with our planting season in Texas. The City of Pflugerville will observe Arbor Day on Friday, November 3, 2017 with a tree planting from 9am to noon (or when complete) at Cambridge Heights Park, 17500 Marfa Lights Trail. A dozen trees of various species will be planted.
