Summary
Mr. Eddie Garcia, Community Services Coordinator, received the Conservation and Volunteerism Award from the Central Region of the Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS).
TRAPS is a state affiliate member of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and a nonprofit organization that consists of approximately 2,000 parks and recreation professionals, students and citizen advocates who share a common passion for advocacy, education, networking and offering quality services to their communities. It is a clearinghouse of information and resources to help with a wide range of challenges facing park, recreation and leisure service professionals. This award was presented by the Central Region of TRAPS at its regional conference for Eddie Garcia’s work in conservation and volunteerism, including the Drop-by-Drop program, Adopt-a-trail program, Community Gardens and youth volunteer programs.
