Approving an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Pflugerville, Texas and Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2 for the allocation of sales tax revenue.
Summary
This Interlocal Agreement (ILA) furthers collaborative efforts of the City of Pflugerville and Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2 (ESD 2) to foster a vibrant local economy, improve fire and EMS services within Pflugerville, and to attract a location for Costco Wholesale Corporation to the community at the southeast corner of SH 130 and Kelly Lane. The effect of the ILA is that the ESD 2 agrees to pay the city annually an amount equal to one-half (1/2) of the 1/2 cent sales and use tax revenues the ESD 2 receives (total of 1/4 cent) for transactions arising from and within the Costco Property up to the maximum reimbursement of $1,500,000.
In addition, the City agrees to provide the ESD 2 a location for placing a new fire station on property owned by the City in a mutually agreeable location and of a mutually agreeable size.
Status
The ESD 2 approved the ILA at their meeting on November 6, 2017.

Fiscal Impact
Over the 15-year term of the agreement, ESD will make payments to the City up to $1,500,000.
