Title
Approving an agreement with Dannenbaum Engineering Company - Austin, LLC in the amount of $214,886.00 for professional engineering services associated with the design, bidding and construction administration for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2018 Pavement Rehabilitation Program Project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
Summary
The proposed scope of services includes final design, construction document preparation and construction phase services for Mill Creek Road and Green Meadows which are planned for construction in 2018. The scope also includes 90% design for El Malino Drive which is planned for construction in 2019 as well as preliminary engineering for Green Meadows, Bellemeade Boulevard, Yellow Sage Street, and Frost Circle which will proceed to construction in the future once CDBG or other funds are allocated to finalize construction documents and construction of the roadways.
Preparation of the engineering construction documents shall include but not be limited to: project design, topographic surveys where required, geotechnical investigation, identification of utility conflicts, coordination with utility companies, engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.
This project will be designed in accordance with the City of Pflugerville’s 2015 Edition of the Uniform Development Code and 2015 Edition of the Engineering Design Guidelines.
This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.
Status
City staff has negotiated with Dannenbaum Engineering Company - Austin, LLC to establish a scope of services, schedule and fee for this agreement.
Previous City Council Action
At the November 28, 2017 City Council meeting, Dannenbaum Engineering Company - Austin, LLC was selected as the most qualified engineer.
