Summary
The City Council requested to review their rules of order and procedure on December 12, 2017. This item was discussed at the January 9, 2018 worksession and was to be considered at the January 23, 2018 regular meeting.
Status
The City Council noted the need to review and update its rules of order and procedure during worksession discussion on March 14, 2017. The City Council discussed the subject at the April 11, 2017 and April 25, 2017 worksessions and a resolution was brought forward for consideration on May 9, 2017. The City Council was unable to come to a consensus on the rules of procedure, voting 3 to 3 to approve with and without an invocation.
Prior City Council Action
The City Council adopted rules of order and procedure for City Council meetings on October 14, 2003 with approval of Resolution 478-03-10-14-7H. The City Council took action on February 9, 2010 to amend the times of regular meetings to begin at 7:00 p.m. with worksessions to begin at 6:00 p.m. with approval of Resolution 1238A-10-02-09-7D.
