Presentation on the launch of the Pflugerville Police Blue Guardian program.
Summary
The Pflugerville Police Department in partnership with Round Rock Police and the Texas Baptist Childrens Home (TBCH) have launched a Blue Guardian initiative that lets children learn more about the Police Department and create relationships between youth and the officers. During November and December, Pflugerville officers have met at the TBCH several times, including to watch the Christmas Pageant and accompanied the teens on a walk around Lake Pflugerville. Teens from TBCH served as extra helpers in the Blue Santa program. Through the partnership, bonds are made between the youth and police letting the teens know that they can always call the police and count on the police in times of need. Two community partners have financially supported the program.
