Summary
The purpose of this item is to discuss and solicit policy direction regarding the overall need, purpose and benefit of retaining or disposing of alleys in the old town area.
The original plat for Pflugerville in 1904 established 19 blocks, divided by alleys, dedicated to the public. By most standards, the blocks are small and have four lots each. Subsequent additions extended the grid system of blocks with alleys. Today, there are 44 blocks with alleys.
Staff will present a summary of the existing alley conditions, and options for addressing the alleys in the future.
