Approving a resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for and to accept, if awarded, a Homeland Security Grant Program (HSBP) award in the amount of $244,190.00 from the Office of the Governor for the purchase of technology equipment for the Pflugerville Police Department Emergency Operations Center Renovations Project.

 

Summary

This resolution authorizes the City Manager to apply for and accept, if awarded, a Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) award for $244,190.00 from the Office of the Governor for the purchase of technology equipment in the form of digital displays, projectors, laptops and a dispatch console dedicated to a newly renovated Emergency Operations Center (EOC).  There is no cash match for this grant from the City.  Approval is also requested to authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary documents upon final approval of the City Attorney. Please find the attached staff memo and resolution.
