Summary
1849 Park located at 16430 Cameron Road is a new community level park that was a part of the voter approved 2014 general obligation bond program and is currently under construction. The first phase of the park will include three (3) practice pods, three (3) football fields, two (2) restroom buildings, two (2) playgrounds, sports lighting for the practice pods, parking and other necessary infrastructure.

The first phase of the project was split into two distinct parts. Phase 1A, which is now complete, included a majority of the utilities for the project, a pond for irrigation, and the 3 practice pods and 3 football fields. This was an early package to get the sports turf installed to allow for ample time for establishment before overall completion and opening of the park.

Phase 1B includes the restroom buildings, parking lots, access drives, minor utilities and landscape improvements for the park. It also includes a portion of sanitary sewer main line that will be part of the City's utility system.

The construction contract for Phase 1B was awarded to Denucci Contractors, LLC on November 28, 2017 and they have received their Notice to Proceed.

The Reduced Costs column on the attached change order highlights the items with quantity adjustments and/or removal of scope. Revisions include changes in quantity to overall landscaping, removal of quarry block wall with handrail feature, and removal of some permanent site and building signage from the construction contract.

This change order is necessary to create capacity in the project budget for procurement of the sports lights and parking lot package and the playgrounds. Staff intends to bring the lighting package to the City Council for approval at the February 27 council mee...
