This item has been included on the agenda for discussion and potential action to provide direction to City staff. City staff has been researching the alternatives and has received a number of ideas from Councilmembers.
Prior City Council Action
On January 9, 2018, the City Council took action as follows: approve city staff to start planning the structure of a town hall meeting that could include the Mayor and a Councilmember, City Manager's office, Police Department and other city staff; and, also possibly include other entities such as the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation, the Pflugerville Independent School Board, and the Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2. The town hall will be advertised on social media and other various methods. Staff was asked to bring the plan to the Council before the end of the first quarter of calendar year 2018, with the meeting to be scheduled prior to the end of second quarter of calendar year 2018.
