Title
Discuss and consider action to approve an agreement with Freese and Nichols, Inc. in the amount of $278,940 for professional engineering services associated with the preparation of a Wastewater Master Plan Update.

Summary
The City last completed and adopted a wastewater master plan in 2013. With changing demands and significant growth over the past five years, an update to the wastewater master plan will help to continue guiding the city's wastewater utility growth and provide the necessary tools to analyze any proposed changes or additions to the system. As part of the master plan process, the City will also create a wastewater system asset management program that will assist the City in managing the maintenance of the wastewater system including mains and lift stations in the future.

The project scope includes creation of a wastewater model based on current GIS data, as-built data, and measure down data to develop projected wastewater flow projections. The model will be used to evaluate lift stations, collection system capacity, and future system improvements. Based on flow projections and recommended system efficiency improvements, a comprehensive wastewater capital improvement plan with be provided for the 5-year, 10-year and build out scenarios. The results of the study will be summarized in a Wastewater Master Plan Report and brought to City Council for adoption.

The attached agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.
