Summary
An item for joint discussion with the Planning and Zoning Commission is included on the worksession agenda to allow for discussion and presentation of annual recommendations regarding the five-year capital improvement plan (CIP). This item has been included on the regular meeting agenda to allow for continued discussion, if needed, by the City Council.
As required by the City Charter, the Planning and Zoning Commission annually reviews and submits a five-year capital improvement plan (utilities, transportation and parks) as well as an annual annexation plan to the City Council and City Manager at least 120 days before the beginning of the budget year that starts in October. The CIP plan must include a prioritized list of projects that are programmed with a recommended year of construction. Included within the item are staff reports that detail the CIP and related staff recommendations.
Planning and Zoning Commission Recommendation
The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for utilites, transportation and parks on April 2, 2018.
