Summary
Staff is proposing amendments to the Unified Development Code (UDC) to cover various issues that have come up over the past year. The first proposed amendment is to modify the Agriculture/Conservation zoning district to identify it clearly as an interim zoning district and change the name to Agriculture/Development Reserve. The second proposed amendment is to add a Parks and Facilities (PF) zoning district that will be utilized to identify areas throughout the community that are intended for parks, green space and parks facilities use. The third proposed amendment removes donation containers as a nuisance and defines how they are to be regulated within the city. Lastly, an airport overlay is proposed that addresses flight zones related to Austin Executive Airport and limits heights and hazards within those areas.
This agenda item will also include discussion about current ordinances and practices associated with mobile food vendors (food trucks).
