Summary
The City of Pflugerville Public Works Water Conservation team received an award at the 2018 Texas Section AWWA annual water conference held in April in San Antonio. This award recognizes the conservation team for innovation in community relations and education.
The Water Conservation team is always looking for innovative opportunities to promote Water Conservation Education to all age groups.
In 2017, a Water Conservation Calendar was designed to provide educational dates and photos including sprinkler evaluations, winter wastewater averaging, spring rain barrel sale, the City’s annual cleanup day, Texas Water Day at the Capitol and the Central Texas Water Symposium. These calendars were distributed at the City’s Pfarmers Market, the Chamber of Commerce EXPO and numerous school and educational events.
