Title
Discuss and consider action about prioritization and funding for projects in the City’s Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan.
Summary
This item has been included on the agenda to allow for a discussion and possible action concerning the prioritization and funding for projects in the City’s Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan.
The five-year Capital Improvement Plan was presented to the City Council on May 8, 2018 and again at the June 12, 2018 City Council meeting. Per direction from the City Council at the June 12, 2018 meeting, the prioritization of the transportation projects have been refined to move projects with a total cost below $1 million to the top of the list to possibly be paid for with certificates of obligation, and revise the ranking of the remaining projects based solely on mobility and economic development benefit criteria. In addition to revised criteria, City Council also requested that FM 685 and all traffic mitigation measures identified in the Costco Traffic Impact Analysis be included in the five-year CIP. The revised five-year Capital Improvement Plan is attached to this item.
