This item has been included on the regular meeting agenda to allow for approval of a resolution creating a Youth Advisory Council. Please find the attached proposed resolution and candidate application. If approved on July 24, 2018, positions would be advertised and the application made available on the city website on July 25, 2018. Interviews and appointment of YAC members would take place on September 25, 2018 and appointed YAC members would serve a program year from October 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019.

Fiscal Impact
Costs are estimated at $3,000, to include social events and attendance of the Texas Youth Advisory Commission Summit in February. Funds would be taken from the other operating line item 200-4480 of the city administration budget.
