Summary
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications from engineering/surveying firms to establish a high precision permanent network of horizontal and vertical survey control stations and accurate spatial references for future growth and development.
The City of Pflugerville will require the selected firm to establish a survey control and benchmark network and provide a deliverable that is compatible with the City’s Geographic Information System. These network benchmarks will serve as reference points for construction projects by providing precise vertical elevation information. The project will establish a Primary Control Network with the installation of monuments. All monuments will be set to National Geodetic Survey standards and be in NAD 1983 State Plane Central Texas US Feet.
Status
City staff received five (5) statements of qualifications (SOQs) which were reviewed and scored. A copy of the scoring matrix is attached to this agenda item. McGray & McGray Land Surveyors, Inc. was selected as the most qualified firm for this project.
Projected Future City Council Action
A future agenda item will be scheduled to approve the contract for the project. Staff anticipates negotiations to take place in the next month and a contract will be presented for Council review and consideration.
Fiscal Impact
The funding for this project in the amount of $70,000 was allocated in the FY18 Utility Administration budget in the Other Professional Fees line item.
