Summary
A public hearing, as required by the City of Pflugerville City Charter and Local Government Code (ยง102.0065), was held on the proposed fiscal year 2019 budget on September 18, 2018 at 6 p.m. The attached notice regarding the public hearing was published on the City website (www.pflugervilletx.gov) beginning August 28, 2018 and was published in the Pflugerville Pflag on September 5, 2018. Exhibit A of the budget ordinance under consideration is the proposed budget for fiscal year 2019.
Changes were presented to Council at the August 28, 2018 City Council meeting which would result in general fund net revenue of $394,086 for fiscal year 2019. These changes from the proposed budget dated August 24, 2018 include removing budget funding for two Parks projects totaling $375,000 and adding $175,000 of funding for specialized consulting services related to grants, emergency management, bond facilitation and data analytics in Administration. In addition, the Utility Administration department budget has been increased by $65,000 for the appointment of an Interim Public Works Director, as approved by Council on September 11, 2018. No changes were proposed for general fund revenue or utility fund revenue. Copies of the proposed budget that incorporate these changes (Exhibit A of the ordinance) are available for public inspection at City Hall, the Pflugerville Community Library, and on the City website at https://www.pflugervilletx.gov/home/showdocument?id=5922.
All required notices have been published and the public hearing held. The City Attorney's Office has reviewed this ordinance and approves as to form.
