Summary
Ms. Breland recommends the appointment of Mr. Brian McDougal as Interim Public Works Director. Section 4.06 of the City's Charter provides that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council.
Status
Mr. McDougal has extensive experience in the management of labor relations, operations, strategic initiatives, financial functions including budget development and management, community relations, contract and service negotiation, grant procurement, water and sewer finance, and capital projects. He will begin working with the City on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Fiscal Impact
Funded from the professional fees line item in the FY 18/19 Utility Funds Administration Budget.
