Summary
The City Council approved a resolution creating a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) on July 24, 2018. This resolution will allow the City Council to increase the number of members allowed on the YAC from 7 to 20. Interviews and appointment of YAC members will take place on September 25, 2018 and appointed YAC members will serve a program year from October 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019.

Fiscal Impact
Costs are estimated at $3,000, to include social events expenses and attendance at the Texas Youth Advisory Commission Summit in February. Funds would be taken from the other operating line item 200-4480 of the city administration budget in the general fund.
