Summary
The City Council approved a resolution creating a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) on July 24, 2018 and approved a resolution on September 18, 2018 amending the YAC to allow for the appointment of up to 20 members. At this meeting the City Council will conduct introductions and take action to make appointments. Thirteen applications have been received and will be provided to the City Council separate from the agenda. Appointed YAC members will serve a program year from October 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019.

Fiscal Impact
Costs are estimated at $3,000, to include social events and attendance at the Texas Youth Advisory Commission Summit in February. Funding is included in the other operating line item of the city administration budget.
