Discussion regarding the proposed Downtown Action Plan in support of implementing the 2009 Old Town Pflugerville Vision Report.
Summary
City Council assembled a subcommittee composed of two City Council members and the Mayor. Starting in March of 2018, the subcommittee met regularly to discuss a myriad of topics related to downtown Pflugerville.
The Downtown Action Plan is intended to expand upon and provide for an implementation schedule of the 2009 Old Town Pflugerville Vision Report action items. Based on extensive public outreach methods, the Old Town Pflugerville Vision Report outlined 10 desired characteristics for the revitalization of downtown providing for a balance of opportunities to live, learn, work and play. The Downtown Action Plan is intended to be refined every three to five years to account for unforeseen changing conditions. The proposed adoption of the Downtown Action Plan by resolution that will be considered at the regular meeting this evening would represent the City’s continued support and commitment to downtown.
