Title
Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution with the caption reading: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS CONDITIONALLY AUTHORIZING THE ABANDONMENT AND RELEASE OF AN EXISTING LIFT STATION AND ACCESS EASEMENT ORIGINALLY GRANTED TO THE CITY IN DOCUMENT NUMBER 2006237340 OF THE REAL PROPERTY RECORDS OF TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS.
Summary

The resolution allows for the vacation of an existing easement once the SH 130 Interceptor Project is complete in exchange for a proposed easement needed to serve the project. The existing easement to be vacated is associated with the existing Pflugerville Pkwy wastewater lift station, located at the northwest corner of Pflugerville Pkwy and FM 685 (see attached exhibit), that will no longer be needed once the lift station is decommissioned as part of the proposed SH 130 Wastewater Interceptor project. The SH 130 Wastewater Interceptor project will provide wastewater service to the area generally just west of SH 130, between East Pflugerville Parkway and East Pecan Street, via a proposed gravity main. As part of the project, wastewater flows to the existing Pflugerville Pkwy lift station will be diverted to the new gravity wastewater interceptor and the lift station will be abandoned in place. Abandoning the existing lift station will include the removal of all lift station components, cutting and removal of concrete structures to 3’ feet below grade and backfilling the remaining concrete structures with compacted fill.

The property owner has agreed to dedicate a new wastewater and reclaimed water easement in exchange for the City vacating the existing lift station easement. The new easement will be required for future access and maintenance of the proposed infrastructure needed for the decommissioning of the existing lift station.

This resolution has been approved by the City Attorney as to form.
