Summary
On October 1, 2018, the City submitted Requests for Proposals to 13 consulting firms that specialize in public sector compensation and classification studies. Of the 13 requests we sent, only two consulting firms responded: Public Sector Personnel Consultants and Evergreen Solutions. You can see the response from the organizations below. City staff has reviewed the proposal and scope submitted by Public Sector Consultants and recommends Public Sector Consultants as the sole finalist. Staff feels that the City's compensation and classification system would benefit from a fresh view and does not recommend using Evergreen Solutions since they conducted the City's previous study in FY14. Additionally, Public Sector Personnel Consultants provides an expanded range of services over Evergreen Solutions, including providing procedural manuals for maintaining compensation and classification at the conclusion of the study.
