Approving the selection of DTS Engineering, LLC to provide services associated with the City-Wide Pavement Re-Evaluation and Assessment and authorizing the City Manager to enter into negotiations as needed regarding a scope of work and fee proposal.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications from engineering firms to assist the City with the City-Wide Pavement Re-Evaluation and Assessment. The project scope of work includes a City wide automated pavement distress survey, a rated scoring or index of all public streets which describes the surface conditions as to extent, severity, and type of distress present that affected scoring, an overall database of information via shape file format for incorporation into the City GIS system, and a final report with area maps illustrating all data and findings which is to include a recommended pavement rehabilitation and maintenance program with a five-year schedule of projects including probable construction costs for each.
City staff received six (6) statements of qualifications (SOQs) on November 26, 2018 which were reviewed and scored by a scoring committee of four staff members. The scoring committee overwhelmingly selected DTS Engineering to conduct re-evaluation and assessment. A copy of the scoring matrix and the Request for Statements of Qualifications are attached to this agenda item.The professional service agreement for the City-Wide Pavement Re-Evaluation and Assessment will be brought forward for City Council consideration at a later date.
