Approving an ordinance on second reading with the caption reading: An Ordinance of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, Amending Ordinance No. 1203-15-02-24 of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, as amended, by approving a specific use permit for a body art studio on Lot 2, Settlers Ridge commercial Subdivision, Locally addressed as 1101 W. Pecan St. to be known as the Forged in Inc Tattoo Specific Use Permit (SUP1812-01); providing a cumulative and repealer clause; providing for a severability clause; and providing and effective date.

Summary
The property is located along the south side of Pecan St, between 10th St and 12th St. The proposed use is planned for Suite 10, an approximate 700 square foot tenant space, located near the western end of the multi-tenant building. The property is zoned General Business 1 (GB1), which requires a Specific Use Permit for a Body Art Studio. Forged in Ink Tattoo is a new start up business proposed to offer body art work to the community. The applicant has indicated the proposed business will provide new body art to clients with a clear mind who are “committed to their decision”, which may include law enforcement and veterans. At this time they plan to only offer tattoo, however may in the future offer piercings as well as tattoo removal, both of which fall under the Body Art Studio definition. If approved, the proposed business will provide service to 1-3 clients at a time, Monday through Saturday from 1pm to 9pm. Vehicle traffic and parking is not anticipated to conflict with the existing office and retail tenants currently located in the multi-tenant building. The applicant has stated all applicable licenses and certificates will be obtained prior to any service.
