Summary
This bid is for a one-year contract with an option for two annual renewals for concrete sidewalk removal and replacement services. These services will be provided at locations throughout the City and will include the removal and replacement, as necessary, of any damaged ADA (American with Disability Act) ramps. References, insurance and other information requested in the bid packet have been checked and verified by staff and updated insurance information has been received.
The lowest responsible bid for concrete sidewalk removal and replacement services was $17/sq.ft from Xevex Construction. The previous amount paid by the City for this contractual work was $6.50/sq.ft. Staff was not able to renew the previous contract award since the parameters of the bid were changed to include the ADA ramps.
