Approving a resolution supporting an annual community engagement project and authorizing the City Manager to annually create and facilitate the same.
Summary
An annual community engagement project that articulates the City’s values and identity, contributes to the community’s sense of place and cohesiveness, and promotes quality of life, community wellbeing, partnerships, leadership, and service to the community shall benefit the community. It is consistent with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan's goals, policies, and action items.
The first annual community engagement project, “Main Street Plazapalooza”, is intended to support the efforts of property owners and local business organizations in revitalization efforts in Downtown consistent with the Downtown Vision and the Downtown Action Plan (2019-2021).
