Approving a Developer Participation Contract for the Sorento development, located northeast of the intersection of Weiss Lane and Jesse Bohls Road, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
Summary
In response to City request, the Sorento development has agreed to Design and Construct an oversized public wastewater line (18” wastewater line), rather than the originally proposed 8”, 10”, 12”, and 15” wastewater line sections which would have sufficiently served the Sorento development, in order to increase capacity of the system for the benefit of anticipated future development in the area. In addition, this upsize is consistent with the Wastewater Master Plan. Funding will be from the Utility Fund Reserves. This Developer Participation Contract allows the City to reimburse the Sorento developer for the difference in cost that resulted due to the wastewater line upsizing.
