Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with Raba Kistner Consultant, Inc. in the amount of $45,465.00 for professional services for the Grand Avenue Parkway Pavement Distress Evaluation.
Summary
In March, Raba-Kistner was authorized to perform non-destructive testing along Grand Avenue Parkway between Viki Lynn and Black Locust for $13,735.00. This work was completed to inform staff and consultant as to how many and where additional testing should be located. The work to be performed as part of this Supplemental Agreement will include pavement cores and drilling to collect material samples for geotechnical testing, laboratory testing, engineering analysis, coordination, and report preparation. The product of this work will assist City staff and the consultant with developing a plan of action for future repairs to address the failed pavement conditions that resulted following the completion of the overlay project.
This agreement is being brought forward for the Council's consideration as the combined amount of the two contracts with Raba Kistner Consultant, Inc. will exceed the City Manager's authority to approve contracts in an amount less than $50,000 without the Council's approval.
