Summary
This item has been scheduled on the worksession agenda to allow for discussion and presentation of annual recommendations regarding the five-year capital improvement plan (CIP). The Planning and Zoning Commission voted at their meetings on April 1, 2019 and May 6, 2019, to recommend the staff recommendation regarding the CIP.
As required by the City Charter, the Planning and Zoning Commission annually reviews and submits a five-year capital improvement plan (utilities, transportation and parks), as well as an annual annexation plan to the City Council and City Manager at least 120 days before the beginning of the budget year that starts in October. The CIP plan must include a prioritized list of projects that are programmed with a recommended year of construction. Included within the item are staff reports that detail the CIP and related staff recommendations.
