Approving a professional services agreement with Verdunity in the amount of $63,000 for the Pflugerville Fiscal Impact Model and Analysis project and authorizing the City Manager to execute same.
Summary
City staff engaged Verdunity to facilitate the City Council's retreat that was held on April 29, 2019 which was to discuss future land use planning and impact to zoning considerations, site development requirements, the creation and dissolution of special purpose districts, annexation, and the implementation of capital improvement projects associated with facilities, transportation, water and wastewater, based on the development and integration of financial impact modeling for the city.
This discussion was deemed to be very beneficial toward generating the needed data points to make informed decisions concerning the future of Pflugerville. Thus the purpose of this item is to approve the attached professional services agreement further engaging Verdunity to develop the fiscal impact model necessary to fully consider the financial future of the city and its infrastructure and other liabilities going forward.
The intent is to align the project schedule with the preparation of the FY 2020 budget. Verdunity anticipates having preliminary results completed within 90 days.
