Approving a new Interlocal Cooperation Agreement continuing the partnership between the City of Pflugerville and the Pflugerville Independent School District (ISD) for the following police related services: Police Information Technology and Partial Dispatch Services (as established by the Pflugerville ISD), providing for Property/Evidence and Records Services up to September 30, 2019, and authorizing the City Manager to execute same.
Summary
The original Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Pflugerville ISD will come to an end on June 30, 2019 as the Pflugerville ISD transitions to a stand-alone police department. The proposed Interlocal Cooperation Agreement will establish the continuation of the following police services: Police Information Technology and Partial Dispatch Services (as established by the Pflugerville ISD). Furthermore, the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement will provide for the following services to be continued through September 30, 2019 as the Pflugerville ISD Police Department transitions to their new facility: Property/Evidence services and Records services.
The City Attorney has approved the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement as to form.
Prior City Council Action
Council initially approved an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement partnership with the City of Pflugerville for similar services in 2008.
