Approving a resolution approving the Mayor's nomination and appointment of Darryl Houston to Position 2 of the City of Pflugerville Reinvestment Zone No. One Board of Directors (TIRZ Board) for an unexpired term ending December 31, 2019.
Summary
Ray Mason has resigned from the TIRZ Board. Current members are: Jeffrey Thompson, Position 1 (Chair); Chuck Lesniak, Position 3; Bob Dwyer, Position 4; and Scott Williams, Position 5.
As provided by ordinance, the Mayor nominates and appoints the TIRZ Board subject to approval by the City Council. Mayor Gonzales recommends the appointment of Darryl Houston to the unexpired term. Mr. Houston currently serves on the Finance and Budget Committee. The City Attorney has confirmed that there is no conflict with Mr. Houston serving on both the Finance and Budget Committee and the TIRZ Board.
The City Council will be provided with Mr. Houston's application materials separate from this agenda.
