Summary
The City of Pflugerville had a very successful Youth Advisory Council program in its inaugural year last year and we look forward to continuing the program again this year. The attached resolution allows for the applicants that meet the membership requirements to be automatically accepted into the program and appointed to the Youth Advisory Council until full membership of 20 members is achieved. This will allow for a quick start up of the program in October.
Youth Advisory Council members will hold monthly meetings, participate in volunteer opportunities, attend the Texas Youth Advisory Council Summit in Kyle, Texas in January 2020 and complete a service project. The Youth Advisory Council will provide a report to the City Council at the conclusion of the program year in May 2020.
Applications for the Youth Advisory Council are now being accepted by the City Secretary's Office.

The City Council took action on September 18, 2018 to amend the Youth Advisory Council to expand the membership to 20 members.
