Approving supplemental agreement #1 with Halff Associates, Inc. in the amount of $410,505.00 for professional engineering services associated with design and construction of Lake Pflugerville Phase 1 Project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville has requested Halff Associates, Inc. to amend the original agreement’s scope of services, and fee to include design and construction administration services associated with Lake Pflugerville Phase 1 development.
This project was part of the 2014 General Obligation Bond Election that was approved by the Pflugerville voters. The professional services will include project management and coordination, geotechnical services, topographical survey data, construction documents, permitting, bidding assistance, construction administration, and project close out.
The project will be implemented in two parts in order to provide improved services as early as possible for the 2020 summer season.
Phase 1A:
Comprised of all utility and horizontal improvements including but not limited to water, wastewater, electrical, and parking improvements.
Phase 1B:
Comprised of the remaining vertical and aesthetic amenities proposed including but not limited to restroom facilities, site furnishings, community allotment garden and landscaping improvements.
The overall project budget for this first phase of development is approximately $3.5 million.
Prior City Council Action
The Lake Pflugerville Preliminary Design Report was approved by City Council June 25, 2019.
Halff & Associates was awarded the preliminary development report contract October 2018 for $99,356.00.
Fiscal Impact
Project funding of $8 million was approved as part of the November 2014 General Obligation Bond. $4.4 million was reallocated in 2015 to acquire the land for 1849 Park. The remaining project budget is $3.6 million.
