Approving a Professional Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $517,268.78 for professional engineering services associated with the Colorado Sand Drive Roadway project and authorizing the City Manager to execute same.
Summary
This project includes a full design for Colorado Sand Drive between Copper Mine Drive and the existing Colorado Sand Drive northwest of Lone Star Ranch Boulevard. The roadway will be two lanes with parking and a median and will be coordinated with the proposed Northpointe development. This project is one of the approved General Obligation (GO) Bond projects passed in 2018.
The Engineer shall provide the necessary engineering and technical services for the completion of environmental studies, public involvement, surveying and mapping, traffic studies, schematic development, and final design for the project.
The design and construction of this project is eligible for reimbursement from Reinvestment Zone No. One as reflected in the attached map.
Prior City Council Action
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. is one of the seven (7) firms selected to assist the City with the 2019-2021 Transportation Improvements Projects at the April 9, 2019 City Council Meeting.
