Discuss and consider action to approve the appointment of Bonita Hall as People + Culture (formerly known as Human Resources) Director.
Summary
The City Charter, Section 4.06, requires that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council.
Bonita brings more than 20 years of HR experience, having served at the Director level in cities across the state such as Longview, Odessa and Pearland. Bonita has built and developed HR departments in high-growth cities and has a track record of training and empowering her employees to create high-performing teams. City Manager recommends her appointment as People + Culture Director.

Action is requested on November 12, 2019. Ms. Hall is scheduled to begin employment on November 13, 2019.
