Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution appointing a bond committee.
Summary
At the November 12, 2019 Worksession, the City Council discussed appointing a bond committee to provide recommendations regarding a possible May 2, 2020 bond election. The bond committee was to include the resident members of the current Transportation Planning Oversight Committee (TPOC) and one recommendation for appointment from each Councilmember. The bond committee was contemplated to meet weekly in January in order to complete its work in time to call an election on February 11, 2020.
Mayor Gonzales has recommended Pat Epstein, 603 Princeton Drive, for appointment.
Councilmember Weiss has recommended Amanda Maedgen, 404 12th Street, for appointment.
Councilmember Marsh has recommended Chris Callahan, 19120 Sea Island Drive, for appointment.
Councilmember Heath has recommended Derek Bohls, 2625 Sixpence Lane, for appointment. Mr. Bohls is not a city resident and resides in the Commons at Rowe Lane.
City staff recommends that all members appointed to the bond committee be residents of the City of Pflugerville city limits.
