Approving the Mayor's appointment of Lorena DeZeeuw and Elizabeth Montoya to the Personnel Appeal Board for three-year terms beginning January 1, 2020.

 

Summary

The City Charter provides that the Mayor, with advice and consent of the City Council, shall appoint not less than five individuals to serve on the Personnel Appeal Board for up to three years.  Mayor Victor Gonzales recommends the appointment of Lorena DeZeeuw and Elizabeth Montoya at this time. No additional applications were received. The Personnel Appeal Board requires a minimum of five members. No maximum number of members is provided in the City Charter. Personnel Appeal Board members Ms. Lorena DeZeeuw, Ms. Michele Walty and Mr. Larry Douglas have terms expiring December 31, 2019. Personnel Appeal Board members with continuing terms are Mr. Tony Ellis, Ms. Doris Williams, and Mr. Bruce Tabor. Applications for Ms. DeZeeuw and Ms. Montoya will be provided to the City Council separate from the agenda.
