Summary
Per the 2030 Comprehensive Plan's implementation schedule, the City shall pursue Unified Development Code (UDC) revisions every one to five years. The UDC was most recently revised and adopted in February 2015. The purpose of the proposed code amendments to Subchapter 4 is to address temporary use and structure regulations and provides for a permitting process, as further described below.

Section 4.7 Temporary Uses, Structures, and Permits summary of amendments:

Reorganizes certain sections for ease of use.
Adds general provisions.
Clarifies when temporary use permits are required.
Modifies the tents and canopy section to include fire safety provisions.
Relocates temporary portable storage unit provisions from Ch. 98 to this section.
Relocates mobile food vendor provisions from section 4.9 to this section; allows for mobile food vendors to operate without a temporary use permit provided it meets all criteria, and the host site is registered with the City.
