Summary
Goodbuy Purchasing Cooperative is operated by the Education Service Center, Region 2 and is a purchasing cooperative authorized by the Texas Government Code. The organization seeks to facilitate compliance with state bidding requirements, to identify qualified vendors and realize economies and administrative cost savings for program members. There are no costs or obligations for participation and no volume minimums on purchases. The agreement is effective upon approval and automatically renews for one-year terms each September 1st unless sooner terminated. By executing this agreement, the City may participate in any bid or proposal issued by Goodbuy Purchasing Cooperative.
The City of Pflugerville is a member of multiple purchasing cooperatives (co-ops), list attached. These organizations perform public competitive bidding procedures for categories of commodities and award vendor contracts. Participating in these agreements increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing process for the City of Pflugerville.
