Summary
This item has been included on the agenda to allow for discussion and potential action on the item. The Parks and Recreation Commission is composed of seven regular members, one of which is a student member and one alternate member who may serve in the absence of a regular member. Section 8.05 of the City Charter states that commission members shall actively participate in the commission's activities and any member who is absent for three consecutive meetings without valid excuse, as determined by the commission, shall automatically be dismissed from membership and the membership shall at once notify the council that a vacancy exists.
