(Granting a Temporary Easement to Atmos)
Summary
This ordinance is to authorize the City Manager to prepare all documents necessary to execute a lease by easement between the City and Atmos for Atmos’ temporary use for a pipeline replacement project. Atmos Energy Corporation is to begin a project this fall to replace approximately 2.5 miles of 30” pipe that will take six (6) months and has requested to use City property adjacent to said project and existing gas line easement for a temporary work space. The City Charter, Section 3.14., requires an ordinance to convey or lease or authorize the conveyance or lease of any city land.
For consideration of the Temporary Construction Easement Agreement for a term of six months, Atmos will pay the City $7,917.00. After project is completed, the land will be returned to previous or like condition.
