Approving the appointment of Ms. Melissa Neel as the City's Finance Director.
Summary
The City Charter, Section 4.06, requires that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council.
Ms. Neel brings nearly 20 years of experience in finance and project management in public, private and non-profit roles. She is currently the Assistant Finance Director with the City of San Marcos, Texas since March 2018.
Ms. Neel holds a BBA in Finance from Texas State University, and an MBA from Webster University.
She has agreed to start on December 7, 2020.
