Title

Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution making additional appointments to the Charter Review Commission.

Summary

At the November 10, 2020 Regular Meeting, the City Council approved a resolution creating and making appointments to a Charter Review Commission.  At that time, the Council requested to consider additional appointments on November 24, 2020 to allow the newly elected Councilmembers to also make appointments. The Charter Review Commission can contain no more than 20 members.  Darryl Houston, appointed by Councilmember Weiss on November 10, 2020, is a current member of the Tax Reinvestment Zone One (TIRZ) Board and has therefore declined the Charter Review Commission appointment. Councilmember Weiss can appoint a replacement and the City Council can appoint up to five additional members at this meeting.
