Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution amending the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) bylaws to allow two City Councilmembers to serve on the PCDC Board of Directors and any other updates as needed.
Summary
The City Council discussed the PCDC bylaws briefly at their July 28, 2020 worksession and were to discuss again at a future date. This item has been included on the November 24, 2020 Council agenda to allow for discussion and potential action prior to consideration of regular appointments to the PCDC Board scheduled to take place on December 15, 2020. The proposed amended PCDC bylaws (Exhibit A to the resolution) will be provided to the City Council in advance of the City Council meeting.
At the December 17, 2019 City Council special meeting, when making appointments to the PCDC Board, the City Council indicated they would like to consider amending the bylaws to allow for the appointment of two Councilmembers to the PCDC Board. The City Council noted their intent to look at this again at the January 10, 2020 retreat worksession and February 25, 2020 worksession when discussing takeaways from the retreat.
When the PCDC bylaws were adopted in January 2017, the bylaws were adopted by City Council action. The bylaws are required to be adopted by resolution. Staff recommends that the City Council make amendments to the bylaws as desired and adopt by resolution at this time.

The City Council adopted PCDC bylaws by action on January 10, 2017.
