Presentation regarding City's Legislative Agenda and the results of the Legislative Session.
Summary
In September, City Council adopted a Legislative Agenda that identifies the priorities and positions that the City will take on certain legislative items. The 87th Legislative Session begins on January 12, 2021, and one can anticipate various bills related to annexation, land use, utilities, zoning and planning in general will be filed for the upcoming session. Staff will present information on the results of the Legislative session and how legislation that was passed may impact the Pflugerville residents, property owners and other objectives of the City of Pflugerville to implement adopted plans and priorities. Pflugerville is a home rule city, and may do anything authorized by its charter that is not specifically prohibited or preempted by the Texas Constitution or state or federal law.
