Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider approving a resolution with the caption reading: Resolution of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, electing to become eligible to participate in tax abatement under Texas Tax Code, Chapter 312 and adopting Tax Abatement Guidelines.

 

Summary

Texas Tax Code Section 312.002 requires that a public hearing be held before adopting Tax Abatement Guidelines.  Upon conclusion of the public hearing, council will need to ratify a resolution with the caption reading: Resolution of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, electing to become eligible to participate in tax abatement under Texas Tax Code, Chapter 312 and adopting Tax Abatement Guidelines.

 

Prior City Council Action

The guidelines were most recently adopted by Resolution No.1814-20-11-24-0788 on November 24, 2020, but without the required public hearing.

Tax abatement guidelines must be approved every two years.
