Title
Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with Kimley-Horn in the amount of $66,500.00 for professional engineering services associated with the Highland Park interceptor project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
Discuss and consider action to approve a supplemental professional services agreement with Kimley-Horn in the amount of $66,500 for professional engineering services associated with the Highland Park interceptor and decommissioning of Highland Park Lift Station project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

This project involves installation of approximately 1,400 linear feet (LF) of 33-inch and approximately 1,500 LF of 24-inch sanitary sewer interceptor pipes along Wilbarger Creek west of State Highway (SH) 130 that will connect to the SH 130 wastewater interceptor. The 24-inch and 33-inch sanitary sewer interceptor pipes will be installed using open cut and bore construction methods and will be installed to a depth of 16 to 20 feet for the 33-inch pipe and 8 to 16 feet for the 24-inch pipe. This project also involves the installation of multiple 72-inch 60-inch manholes and the decommission of the Highland Park Lift Station and Pfluger Crossing Lift Station after completion of the interceptors along Wilbarger Creek west of State Highway (SH) 130.

The supplemental professional services include the addition of construction materials testing, TxDOT driveway permitting, completion of a design technical memorandum, and review and incorporation of the City’s new standard details and specifications.

The consultant is preparing 100% PS&E for the Highland Park Wastewater Interceptor Project. City staff is reviewing the property appraisal to finalize the Right-of-Way acquisition boundaries. If approved, City staff will coordinate with the consultant to include the decommissioning of the Pfluger Crossing Lift Station.
